Our speaker for Wednesday October 15th was Captain Armida Harper of the Salvation Army. Captain Armida joined us give Arlington Rotary to talk about the history of the Salvation Army and their work and support of the Arlington community.

Captain Armida give an insightful history of not only the Salvation Army but also her own involvement from a young age. Captain Armida talked passionately the many great programs they offer ranging from the "Our Place" daycare program, (which offers daycare for homeless children) to the Bringing the gap program for troubled juveniles and Men's recovery program, to name a few. As well as her our experiences and stories in helping people in need.
Arlington Rotary is a proud supporter of the Salvation Army and will once again provide support through our day of caring on December 13th with the ringing of the Salvation Army bell outside Walgreen's pharmacy on Mass Ave., Arlington.
