LT. BARRY MONUMENT RESTORATION PROJECT
*UPDATE*
Work on the monument has been completed. In addition to the clean up of the monument, the Arlington Rotary Club has undertaken the responsibility of maintaining the area. UPDATED PHOTOS HAVE ALSO BEEN ADDED TO THIS ALBUM.
Our club has begun work on a project to restore the Lt. Barry Monument located at the intersection of Warren St. and Medford St.
This monument was erected in the memory of Arlington police lieutenant Daniel P. Barry, who along with his many years of service with the police force was noted for his contributions and work with the youth of Arlington.
Over the last few years this monument has become overgrown with weeds and surrounding bushes. The club has been working with local high school students as well as a local landscaper to return this monument to its former glory.
